Mission and Objective of the National Center for the Biotechnology Workforce

Mission:

Represent, enable, and provide leadership at the national level for the biotechnology workforce with compatible organizations, educational, and training institutions

Enables:

  • NC Community College's BioNetwork, ForsythTech, and the Piedmont Triad Biosciences community to
  • implement the NCBW Communications strategy

  • Objectives:

  • Create relationships and partnerships that enable our sites and centers to grow their expertise and to
  • create best practice publications on collaborative topics

  • Special Interest

One of our primary interests remains exploring novel pathways to educating today's biotech technicians. We openly seek partnerships, especially via mutual grant opportunities, to enhance training techniques, efficiencies, and levels. Additionally, we are interested in following graduates of biotechnology programs with respect to employment and continuing education. Currently, we are following a cohort comprised of graduates from Alamance CC and FTCC.
