They started a conversation about how faculty, staff, students, and the community atlarge could communicate about advances in science and technology and learn aboutthe problems being solved. This coffee conversation quickly grew into a uniquespeaker series, best known as the SciTech Lecture Series. To date, this informal cup of coffee has led to more than seventy-five local, national,and international presenters who have inspired and educated 3800 participants.
